PeriOptixTM Introducing Solaris miniTM portable dental headlight system at the California Dental Association meeting September 9 – 11th.
San Clemente, CA – September 10, 2010 – PeriOptix, Inc., one of the nation’s leading providers of high quality magnification and illumination systems for medical and dental professionals, will be launching its newest portable LED headlight at this week’s California Dental Association meeting in San Francisco, CA. PeriOptix will be located at the Moscone Center in booths #1542/1544.
PeriOptix will be showcasing its new Solaris miniTM portable headlight system, the smallest and lightest dental headlight system on the market. PeriOptix latest product is the next generation portable led headlight which is significantly smaller and lighter than most other LED headlights. With a diameter of about the size of a dime and weighing less than 6 grams, the Solaris mini delivers an amazing 40,000 lux of illumination to the operative field. Dental headlights are typically mounted directly to dental loupes which are worn throughout the day. Having a lightweight light can make a significant difference in user comfort.
The Solaris mini features a unique power pack with a removable and rechargeable Lithium Ion battery that provides over 8 hours of constant illumination before needing to be recharged. Portable dental headlights are among the fastest growing dental product segment. Portable headlights allow dentists the freedom to move from operatory to operatory without being tethered to older style fiberoptic light sources.
“The Solaris mini is a significant advancement in portable LED illumination”, according to Gary Woker, the Chief Operating Officer of PeriOptix. “We want dentists and hygienists to see how powerful, yet small and lightweight our new Solaris mini headlight is” Mr. Woker said.
The California Dental Society in San Francisco is one of two annual conferences held each year by the organization and features advanced programming presented by leading professionals in the field.
